Crispy oven-baked chips (the perfect snack!)

I’ve been a devoted chips fan for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately store bought chips land far down on the nutrition scale. And I’m well aware fried food is linked to a list of diseases, clearly not benefitting the body in any sort of way. But little did I know, there’s no need for a fryer in order to make crispy flavorful chips! It might be old news to many but to me this was a brow raising discovery, opening up a whole new delicious world (with no harm being done). I had to share this easy way to make your own oven-baked chips, so let’s get into it!

Set the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Wash potatoes and cut into super thin slices. Put the potatoes in a bowl and add olive oil (don’t overdo it, not much is necessary) plus himalayan salt and mix. Put the potato slices on an oven sheet and leave a bit of room in between them. Now you can sprinkle whatever flavour you wish (or leave it). Personally I love adding black pepper, smokey paprika, chili or nutritional yeast ( for cheese flavour with lots of vitamin B).

Put them in the oven for about 10 minutes then take them out, flip them over and back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the chips, due to the potato slices being slim they burn easily. Enjoy!
